Stats update theory

By domain updates?

I've noticed a pattern over the last few days which might explain the difference in people seeing stats updating or being stuck - my stats seem to update by domain.

I have one or more channels set up per site, and where i have, for example, three channels on one site and one on another, it seems common that the three channels update together and the other from a different site updates seperately.

Sometimes they all increase in one go, but perhaps that would just indicate both domains are included in the same stats batch.

I just thought this may explain why some people see stuck stats whilst others see what appears to be near real time metrics.

Even more of a guess might be that this could be related to re-evaluation of smart pricing? I've thought for some time this would be much more logical to be calculated at domain level (or even page/keyword level) than account level.

Any thoughts?

After three months in Webmasters Anonymous I just watch the stats once a day (when the day ends in LA) so I don't care about stat's updates.
I could give you a meeting point where you will find friendly people just ready to help you. :)

I have seen a similar thing with domains, some domains will update at different times than others seems like something I can say I possibly noticed
