Adsense predicting the future

So this is starting to annoy me. I see all the threads about revenue share and transparency and to some extent I can live with most. But when adsense starts predicting my earnings I get a little miffed.

What I am getting at is on 90% of days by 6am I earn $50, $100 by 12noon and so on, but on some days I am at $100 by 6am - double, but then for the next 6 hours I earn 0, so it catches up. I get that some times stats are delayed, but this is reverse. I still earn the same day to day but how can they on some days calculate my earnings early effective before the clicks have happened.

Just another example of inconsistency and strange goings on behind the scenes.

Google's long-standing explanation is that the two columns are not necessarily synchronized - you can have money showing up before the clicks register, or vice versa. I used to notice a similar effect, but I've since significantly increased my traffic and now I don't even notice.
