Donation (Buy me a coffee) with adsense?

Hi there, I'm new here and just have a couple questions. I use wordpress for my blog, can I use a "Buy me a Coffee" plugin (which leads to a paypal link for people to buy me a coffee) with Google Adsense? Or is it against the TOS? I also want to use Chitika MiniMalls, can I use all 3 of those together?

Thank you for reading!

Yes to all your questions. Read Google TOS. Its all very clear.

I'm sorry, but your answer is unclear to me. You're agreeing to me being able to use Adsense with Donations. But in the second question, that asks if it is against the TOS, which you are saying it is. Then you're saying that I can use adsense, with donations, with chitika. I'm trying to search the TOS for donations but I can't find anything.

Thanks again for your help!

"I'm trying to search the TOS for donations but I can't find anything."

Don't search, read the TOS from top to bottom. If you don't understand then ask Google.

Donatations are not considered as adverts.

> Or is it against the TOS?

>I also want to use Chitika MiniMalls, can I use all 3 of those together?

Thank you very much, I forgot to put in I did read the TOS. I will read everything very slowly again just to make sure. I have not signed up for google adsense yet, I just wanted to make sure before I put in on my website.

This seems to be a borderline case of soliciting clicks..If in doubt...Don't ..

If you can get a clarification from G adSense..then you will be lucky. I rather doubt it though..You are not likely to get a straight reply from G , and I would be very wary of following this approach.

I share GG's concern--Someone might get the idea from your requests for donations that you need money, but not want to make a donation, and instead decide to click a few ads. I wouldn't use the donations link with AdSense.

In general, I wouldn't mix donation requests with income-earning ads or affiliate links. Pick one approach of the other. It looks better.

"Buy us a beer donation button" works better than "buy me a coffee". I was thinking about expanding on this and perhaps having a "help me pay my ridiculous taxes" button. What do you think?

That won't work. I saw someone in SF once with a sign: "Give me the money to buy drugs"
Will that violate AdSense TOS?

He isn't soliciting clicks. he is asking for donation and not through Google but through PayPal. I humbly think that you are reading too much into Google's intent.

Actually, Adsense doesn't really even have to follow their own TOS. If they simply don't like your business model, they can and very well might ban you from Adsense.

You have to ask yourself, is a site who's business model is begging for donations, is that a good audience for Adsense, who are looking for visitors in the market to click on ads and convert for their advertisers? The way you get those kind of visitors is post original, informative content. Concentrate on that, and the beer money will come without you having to beg for it.

I have seen tons of blog with such begging buttons as well as AdSense. Personally I don't like begging but I still don't see how it goes against AdSense TOS.

Have you ever heard Google banning anyone for begging?
I doubt it they ever will. It is a legitimate way to earn money. I say go for it.

Wow, thanks for all the replies. I was just going to do it for a few quick bucks. But I think I'll stick to adsense only for right now.

Wikipedia does
Greenpeace does

what's bad on it?

Sure not for Coffee or beer, but in general for donations.

Advice: if Google Adsense TOS say "stay 1 meter away from the fence", then for your own benefit, stay away 2.
