One of the stop phrases may have to do with death. That may be one of the topic that we advertisers are allowed to opt out of; I don't remember. I'd take the ad off the post.

Thanks Netmeg, i took out 'death', 'loving' and even 'Fukuda' from the text. Still no ads but maybe it takes time. Geez, i guess mortuaries and funeral homes don't bother advertising with Adsense, huh?

In the long term , I have been - but I also expect my articles to pay their way to some certain degree. This one isn't and I don't think it's unreasonable to ask why.

I wasn't aware you could do that, and i don't see where in my Adsense Setup i can arrange it. Do tell more?

If you look at the spot, I think it's right after you set what type of corners (but I don't have it open at the moment) there's somewhere where you can tell it what to do if it can't find an ad - you tell it to collapse (show nothing) or show a solid block of color, or you can give it some HTML and it will show that. I typically stick html for a general interest aff ad. I also give it a special SID (equiv to channel) in the Aff Network, so I can actually see how many times Google can't display an ad for some reason.

I have seen some oddities with blogger. Namely that when I post something new, it seems that the front page of the blog goes to PSA or blank. However, if I click the link to the post, there is an ad there. After about 15 or 20 minutes, the home page seems to be back to normal.

I had thought that the new post had stop words. However the fact that the ad would show on the individual post indicated that it wasn't a stop word issue. The fact that the ads were showing OK before I added the post also shows that there were no stop words on the previous posts.
