Added, it says i can have 5 channels, but there are 40 different types of widgets, what can i do?
Let's say you put that 250 x 250 ad on your "home" page. You could, for example, assign a channel named "250 x 250" so you can track how 250 x 250 ads perform. You could also assign a channel named "home page" so you can tell how the ad performs on your home page.
But you can't assign a channel to track the type of widget ads that appear in the 250 x 250 ad. For that matter, depending on the situation, you might not even get any widget ads.

Ok, so i have 9000 pages and i want to assign an ad to a particular widget make so that it can be targeted by advertisers, would i then need to create a new ad for each make of widget and assign it under one channel?
You can't assign an ad to a widget, make of widget, etc. - you have no control over what ads appear, where they appear or when they appear.
You could create a 250 x 250 ad, assign a channel to it, make that channel targetable by advertisers and then place that same ad code on each of your 9000 pages.
