I wasn't aware that more filters could increase the load on Adsense servers so much.

I don't use the current limit but thanks for addressing one of the top five concerns.

Don't worry I won't abuse the limits, besides slowing the server down I am sure it delays ad serving also.

christian moms who make a boatload of money while working at home
yellow teeth
stimulus checks and grants
scams of all types

(I'm an AdSense publisher, too, after all).

My competitive filter is empty (gave up on micromanaging that a long time ago) but I'm glad Adsense is addressing a concern that was in the top requests.

Been years since I used the competitive filter and even then, it was for only a handful of sites. For my sites, blocking was a waste of time and actually hurt the bottom line.

I had my girlfriend start a company and get an AdSense account and then gave her half my websites. That is how I expanded the filter on my own, betya she doesn't want to give them back now. We are only using about 60 slots in each filter presently, much better than a year ago when they were both full. I think they have done quite a good job of cleaning up lately.

I still only see 200 channels, and cannot locate any of the new changes. I have even rebooted the PC.

as I look at my site which has as its main phrase a two word statement(don't wish to state it as it might be breach of TOS of WebmasterWorld) and see it covered in irrelevant ads, where adwords advertisers have stupidly decided to pay for ads on any site with one of the two names and there is no way for me to prevent the ads showing.

eg.

my site is about dog toys,
I get ads for balls amic vinegar

ok, #*$!ty example, but you get the message. If I could just ban ads from sites about amic or vinegar, i'd be fine.

its bad for the advertiser and for the publisher that I can not ban such ads.

As a result of course, my click through and conversion rates are miniscule, and probably I am getting smart priced.

I've filled up my competitive ad filter, and still they keep coming.

I wish to be excited, but am underwhelmed.

Until we get the tools needed to filter keywords and advertiser by id, problems which you have described will never go away.
