If I place a redirect to the new feed location in order for G to place ads on the feed for display....
how exactly do they retrieve my updates, since there will be a redirect in place? Everytime they want to grab my updated feed on the site, they would be redirected to the new feed destination.
If I simply change links to point to the new feed location (allowing G to grab the feed) how do I redirect all the traffic that simply grabs the feed directly?
thanks for your time!

I add the feed to G....G copys my current feed and places it at a new URL.... (no problem with this)
If I update my local feed, will G just eventually grab a copy and update the new location?
since I now want people to view the Feed at the new URL, I would either replace my current links to the old feed with links to the new feed, or do a redirect for any requests for the feed and have it automatically send the user to the new feed location.
(I get this too...)
If I simply replace my sites link destination, users who grab the feed directly will still see my non-adsense feed and not know about the change in locations...I lose all that traffic to the non adsense version.. (not the desired result...)
If I place a redirect, how would G be able to see my updated copy, G's requests would be automatically redirected to the new Feed location....
Or...does the update happen differently? Do I have to update the NEW version location? (perhaps create an account at the new location or something?)
I'm just a tad confused here...
If somebody can turn the light on for me I'd be eternally grateful....
Thanks!

Yes. It frequently updates from your real feed. Use their WordPress plugin if you are on WordPress.
You will update links in your pages with the new feed location but your original feed url is still working, right? That url will be used by Google to update your feed content, now with ads.
If you want to re-direct your original feed url too then you have to create a secret feed url known only to Google / Feedburner.
