My red widget related site displaying totally unrelated ads. I see ads related to

Parenting
Baby care
Dating
Matrimony
Chat with a life partner kind of scam ads
Investment, Life insurance ads

I never searched any of the above topics (may be my GF or other friends may have searched using their laptop using my wifi hotspot) using google and I'm not sure why I see all those ads. No wonder my income gone down again. What can be done to get back related ads? Does anyone have same problem I have?

Use your filter freely and try section targeting. If it doesn't work, consider selling direct advertising.

Most likely:

- Advertisers stopping/pausing ad-campaigns because the economy is down (=not enough related ads)
- your surfing from "wrong" country to see any related ads
- your online-history
- Adsense testing out new ads (if they get clicks on your site)
- Receny updates to your site has introduced new keywords, which causes adsense to test new ads
- Advertisers not happy with your site and pulling their ads from your site.
- etc...

Expect to see more scams now in these troubled times.
Primarily, because:
1. Vunrable recession victims will create new opportunities for predators
2. As ad inventory declines, vacuums are created allowing even more crappy ads to be displayed than would otherwise be the case.

Be prepared to see ads for prostitutions as well. I have spotted several ads of Shemales offering their bodies for 150USD a pop. I have blocked them but still see them on Thailand related travel websites.

It appears to be getting worse today. I just noticed a whole set of "lock cabinet" ads on a page that's all about backpacking in Yosemite.

I took a good look at the ads on one of my largest sites. Talk about crap (MFA) "sponsored search results" showing up. I blocked 30 URLs quickly in my AdSense filter and I barely scratched the surface. I don't know what impact it will have on revenue but man have the ads been crappy lately. Targeted, yes, quality, no.

No problems here (Europe, Netherlands). Ads are on-target and well-paying :)

I've noticed a lot of totally unrelated ads appearing in images only at the moment so I'm about to disable images for the time being. Most of them are from very large firms and companies but are totally irrelevant to site they are appearing on.

It's hard to say for sure, but it looks to me like my ad quality is down for the last few days -- it has definitely led to a drop in revenue. I'm trying to decide if I've been smartpriced following my recent change in layout, or if this is some sort of glitch.
