We'll be undergoing scheduled maintenance this Saturday, March 14, from 10am-2pm PDT. That's 5pm-9pm GMT.

You won't be able to log in during this time, but earnings and clicks will be recorded as usual.

Another? Oh boy. I'm actually afraid. March 4th-5th maintenance has hurt so many publishers earnings quite considerably.

but earnings and clicks will be recorded as usual

Why do I doubt that.

Though thanks for letting us know ASA. Appreciated.

Hi ASA,
Can you throw some light on what's been happening with adsense over the last few months? There's been so many 'scheduled' and unscheduled maintenance days, things breaking and many publishers are reporting strange things and a massive reduction in earnings that aren't attributed to the recession.

Wonderful. Another day of dire earnings as usual during Adsense "maintenance". I didn't need to hear that.

May 5 was the day of an acnowledged problem, wasn't it, not a maintenance? That was a Thursday.

I've never noticed any correlations between maintenance days and problems, so if there is one it's not across the board...

May 5

Steady on...making forecasts 2 months in advance now ? :-)

My birthday too HP! How did Google know I wanted a maintenance day? Aw Shucks, they shouldn't have!

My earnings always seem to decrease by a small percentage after the scheduled maintenance days. Stays that way for awhile too.

Same here. Build it back up, publish some more pages, it gets taken away. Slowy, steadily.

It's going to get expensive! My youngest daughter has just had a baby daughter today at 13.00 on the 13th weighing 6lb 13 oz!

Congratulations HuskyPup! We have numerous family birthdays with two people sharing the same birthday.

My youngest sister Jaime (had Downs Syndrome), her birthday was March 13, she has now passed away.

My kitty cat Sylvia's birthday was March 13th, she passed away last November. She would have been 16 today.

God bless you and your new addition to your family.

I can't speak to individual publishers' earnings because there are a lot of factors that determine AdSense revenue.

I can say that our engineers have been working hard over the past few months rolling out new features (font controls, international reports, and a bunch of other cool stuff). And one of the things they're always working on is maintaining the infrastructure that serves ads to your site. For more detail on what they're doing this Saturday and during other scheduled maintenance times, check out January's blog post from my friend Curtis.

ASA... how's about we give Husky a present. Maybe during the maintenance they can send all clicks to Husky for one hour...

Oh by the way... my cat just gave birth to 4 kittens...

WooHoo...thank you all...and especially to Andrew for sending me ALL his clicks for today :-)

Needless to say I'm doing very little work after last night's celebrations and somehow I just HAVE to do it all again tonight with the tremendous live rock band we have playing.

Congrats HuskyPup.
Also if any are suffering from Adsense withdrawal symptoms during this maintenance window, there is always a less refined Adsense tracking available on Google Analytics.

Nice to see a proper message whilst there is maintenance...

The AdSense account interface is temporarily unavailable due to system maintenance. AdSense is expected to be down from approximately 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM Pacific Daylight Time on March 14, 2009. Please note that your earnings will continue to be tracked as normal, and your ad targeting will not be affected during this downtime. We apologize for any inconvenience.

I wonder if this is one of the "cool" things the engineers having been doing.

Catching up faster and with better numbers than expected - it may be a decent day after all, hope the same goes for everyone.

Fingers crossed we get some catch up, so far it's quite down on what it normally is for me.

I hope there's a click dump coming... CTR is way, way below average.

Today I have noticed 2 channels that produced clicks, but no earnings.
One channel is an Link unit (so no PSA adverts) and that was prior to the maintenance. (4 clicks)

The other channel showed 5 clicks and those must have happened during or after the maintenance. This channel is 160x600 on a well established page with no problem with lack of advertisers.
