Putting AdSense ads on a free hosted Tripod page

I plan to launch a web page and host it on Tripod / Lycos free web hosting page. They of course put their own ads on those pages but then, will that conflict or go against AdSense TOS with the AdSense code I put on my new page?

for example tripod puts 1 ad on page then you can add max. 2 of your ads

Thanx HYN - so I guess it isn't against TOS...cool!

I wonder if there are URLs to visit thee, which have samples to check out . . .

Someone should probably tell you this so here I go: why would you want to host a page with tripod if you're serious about making any money?

Koan is 100% correct. If your pages start to earn you a dollar or two you will quickly realise that you need to host your pages elsewhere.

For $100 you can buy a domain and host it on respectable ISP for a year. You WILL earn more than $100 if the site is even remotely decent.

Save yourself a whole pile of trouble, invest $100 up front and save all that hassle of changing the domain name later and loosing all your rankings.

Dinrock,
Have you read Tripod's TOS ?
It may be against theirs to have 3rd party adverts.
I doubt you will earn much - if at all on a tripod site.
Most people I know either do not visit them, or leave straight away because of the adverts.

I think to be on the safe side, I will heed Koan & Nomis5, Lame_Wolf. This info is much appreciated! I often wondered about that...
