I actually -more for the fun of it than anything else- tried it on a very short .net domainname (2 letters, 2 digits long) where I also own and let some organization use the .org domain -> denied for "policy violation".

I don't believe in parked domains, and I'm sure it doesn't generate type-in traffic and I don't think it has incoming links left, but "policy violation"?

The page with explanations [google.com] on why comes no where near to explaining why ... as I can't see any link between the name and anything there.

I don't think so. I know a few domainers, and I don't know anyone who made any money with AFD.

Yeah, very bad move, smells like desperation to me. Parked domains are a huge spam technique.

I looked up "cra ptastic" in the dictionary and there was a picture of Google adsense for domains.

But seriously, other than the real big domain parking pros, is this of any use to the rest of us? It seems if the domain has traffic then there's better things to do with it, and it if has no traffic, then this won't provide revenue. Or am I missing something?

As long as revenues from domain spamming is allowed for the big boys, might as well be available to the little guys too.

after integrating adsense for domain my revenue boost up! then i realized some of domain that i was thinking they are creepy are actually well worth. I wish if adsense pays same like they pay for domains.

Type in traffic would be good for google in the sense the only way off the site is likely clicking on an adsense ad... it doesn't mean it is good for adwords customers who pay the cost of clicks.

In some instances type-in traffic can convert for an adwords advertiser, but for the majority of advertisers it will not bring any benefit.

The winners is this will be google and a small handful of adsense publishers.

When you park 1000 domains with them, google knows that it does not have to crawl those 1000 domains (which they would have been doing till now on irregular interval)

It saves resources (money) at the same get newer places for adsense, so it is all win for them.

For us, I personally think in long run they would index regular sites faster (only solace) and 2 cents (literally) for ads they show on our site :)

Well if you have Debt, phone, credit card in your domain name, it should work well :)

The trick is how to get traffic to the domain names, because I am 100% confident that in coming month, Google would ensure that it does not send traffic to these Parked domains (as it knows that you are using the solution), so this move could help clean their index as well (all Parked domains would be out of the index) leaving a little better mess for user :)

To me, if a page - or site - has no content, then it's MFA.
Isn't google breaking it's own TOS ?

i tried 1 domain, waited a few days for DNS to take effect, only to find out it wasnt going to a google parking page....went in the adsense in the domain section to find the name was denied, no reason offered except a TOS page...all this after being with adsense for 5+ years, i cant even get an answer to why it was knocked back....wouldnt know myself either...

wont bother with it again for sure...

Google says that if you use parking solution, your google app would not work, so that drives my point as well, that google want to genuine companies to use google/app solution instead of parked domains :)

A very naive statement IMHO, you can use a domain in many ways and still not be delivering websites via HTTP.

Does anyone know how long it takes to get the domain name approved? I have seen a few hours to a few days. What's the official time susposed to be?I have some awesome type in domains that I am going to test out. Also a little hint for you guys...I have seen some success with AFD for misspelled domains that have not been trademarked. Works really well. Of course the bigger guys can just use a proper parking service with much higher rev shares like trafficZ or Hitfarm. If the portfolio of domains are good enough, don't waste your time with a samll rev share, go get a 60-78% rev share from the bigger guys for domain parking.

Question: Is it against the policies to view my own Adsense for Domains page? It looks like it's based off impressions, so I want to follow the right policies. Can i look at my own parked page to see what it looks like?

Did anybody tried AFD? Is it money making? The problem is that we have more good parked domain. It is hard to buy and find good domain that is not owned yet.

I've only heard of one person who made some decent money with it, but that was just after he joined, and I haven't talked to him since so I don't know if it held up.

Nobody else I know of who has tried it has made any money with it.
