What is Good eCPM in current bad economy time

It is no secrete, economy is bad and it won't improve any time soon. As a result income is declining from all ad networks. I was just wondering -

What could be the acceptable eCPM and eCPC in current time? Would you consider 0.33 as good eCMP in current time?

Would you accept lowered eCPM and eCPC if you have an option in adsense or any other ad network?

This is no eCPM, this is a small contribution to cover server costs.

Depends on so many things! 0.33 might be good for a particular country, a particular subject area, a particular demographic.

I wouldn't give Adsense any space on my pages if I was getting that eCPM. Fortunately the eCPM I'm seeing is, approximately speaking, more than 10 times that.

I would also try another form of advertising if my eCPM was 0.33! My eCPM is several times higher than 10x that. In tough economic times my eCPM has gone from double digits to well, well, well over double digits.

Online advertising continues to increase. Why blame the economy for lackluster eCPM?

First, there's no easy answer. An eCPM of 33 cents is low by many people's standards, but it isn't too far below some of the numbers in the PubMatic Q4 2008 AdPrice Index [pubmatic.com]. Also, your topic and type of content will have a big influence on eCPM: A forum about a noncommercial topic might expect to have a much lower eCPM than professionally written reviews of luxury cruises or mutual funds, for example.

Second, eCPM is useful mainly as a way to compare different revenue streams. If you have other ways to earn money from your pages (such as display ads or affiliate sales), then it's important to know your eCPM. If you don't--if AdSense is your only practical source of revenue--then total earnings are what really matter.

I get a better CPM than that with TribalFusion. If that's your AdSense CPM, you might want to consider other options. 0.33 is low to me but it depends on a lot of factors. 0.33 might mean you have too many ads per page or maybe the ads aren't in the best place on the page, etc. Comparing your current CPM with that of a year ago how does it compare?

Gross or net? TribalFusion shows the gross eCPM, but doesn't factor in their cut (around 50% I think), they only do in the "net" income column.

Both. My CPM with TF is in the mid $1.XX range gross, so about half net. Although I must admit most of my TF revenue right now is from the latest diet craze ads (not well targeted to my sites).

Well it depends on your site and the volume of pages it severs everyday, for me at this time it would be a good eCPM.

I run a large humor site on average giving adsense 200k pageviews everyday roughly over half a million ad-impression / day and currently I am averaging .25 ecpm, I used to hover around .45 - .50 during pre-recession.

Trying to get the eCPM up but its being very difficult these days so yes for me If I can get .33 ecpm as for now it would be great.
