Glad to see you find it funny. I've seen a few of these bad matches that are rather upsetting to my visitors.

Poor matches can be extremely serious as can be seen in my recent thread. But sometime you just have to laugh. My favorite one ever was on an article about the log cabin pattern for quilts. The ad was for a log cabin compost toilet. :)

I think the difference is one is just a understandable miss match. On the serious ones, those kinds of ads should never be allowed on adwords at all!

Look at the exchange rate of the pound,
it's a logical consequence to compare
the british government with the siniking of the Titanic.

Did You look on the landing page`of the Titanic ads?

It's sure a political page writing about the british government.

I've seen that thread Anne and you're absolutely correct.

In the wrong place and in the wrong time, inappropriate ads can be.. well... embrarassing to say the least. Damanging to the site's reputation at worst.

the ad is actually advertising a Titanic Quiz -- so it's about the boat.
but you're right, i guess the word titanic has become associated with the uk on the web... time for everyone to get worried

On one of my sites there's a wildlife page about squirrels, (from a conservation point of view) most of the ads on that page concentrate on ways to trap and kill them.
