I just got this concern about the legacy adsense code I have spread all over my site which is created before google announces ad slot addition which significantly reduced shorter js ad code, at the end of 2007 if I remember correct.

How much longer is it going to last and work? There's too many of them and I might get a whole day on this to change all these code into new code.

I doubt they will retire it anytime soon. That would go against the "set and forget" reason that most webmesters choose AdSense in the first place.

I change to the new code only at the main ads on the most important sites.

Less important sites and the ads used in the content area are the old code.
