Hi everyone,

IE 6 and 7 are not showing adsense for a lot of sites. Firefox does show fine.

Is anyone experiencing the same problem?

I use IE6 and refuse to upgrade to IE7, but I have seen it happen with my site. What I normally do is to visit a site I know has adsense on it. Then, when I return to my site, my ads appear.

I did create a few adsense blocks where they open up in a new window. But due to the amount of times where they would not show (the other adverts were showing), I decided to remove them.

Yes I can confirm the same for IE7 and not Firefox.
Something seems to be broken yet again.

I just checked a site (in the USA) using IE7 and ads were showing just fine, so if there's a problem with IE, it appears it's not everywhere.

Yes it is working now
Previously Opera, Chrome and IE7 were not showing ads
Only Firefox did.

Still can't see it on Firefox, but working on Safari. What's going on?

For big publishers (UPS club members?), the ads are showing just fine. It's only the smaller sites that are having problem.

It seems to be the javascript problem.

Here is the link that I could find. IE patch seemed to have caused the problem.

hi norbiu,

Yes, the article is from 2005. I'm aware of that. What I am speculating is that the problem happened before in 2005 and happening now again?

Here is one member reporting the same problem (go down to comment by beggers):

It happened as recently as Nov last year as seen in this post:

I just tested on IE6 and IE7 and it seems to be working. I'm only having problems on Firefox Mac at the moment.

But the thing is that the updates take hours to show up on the site. I added a new unit like 4-5 hours ago and it's still not showing up on any browser.

I preferred the old AdSense code...

I had this problem on my Windows 2003 server. When I disabled the default firewall, the ads came back. Weird o_O

Me too. Much easier to know what channel is what / making changes etc.

Sorry, guys. The problem is isolated to my XP machine with IE 6 & 7 parallel install.

Sorry for false alarm.
