Adsense ads not being blocked by host file mod!

Hi, I've placed the following in my Window's hosts file:

127.0.0.1 pagead.googlesyndication.com
127.0.0.1 pagead2.googlesyndication.com

Still I'm seeing google ads on sites. Why is this so? Any changes google has made? Thanks!

Look here [webmasterworld.com], so you should also add:

127.0.0.1 googleads.g.doubleclick.net

Or do an NBTSTAT -R from a command prompt, and don't forget to make that a capital 'R'
