Right, problem is one advertiser (I assume) is creating multiple adverts with the same text, but different display url's. All these adverts relate to a download software service for a popular console. At first it was just 4/5 url's with CONSOLE-KEYWORD.COM.TLD and was easily blocked by the competitive filter. I also added COM.TLD to the filter, in the hope that any future adverts from this advertiser would be stoped.

But it did'nt work, now I am getting CONSOLE-AB.COM.TLD CONSOLE-GZ.COM.TLD etc (alot of variants).

I have reported this advertiser to adwords, but no reply as of yet, anything else that can be done or is it a case of waiting for the adwords team to get back to the office.

(hope I stuck to the rules about domains etc, not actually posted the true domain etc)

The filter is indeed broken as some advertisers seem to slip through no matter what. I have some advertisers blocked FOR MONTHS now, and they are still showing up in the preview tool.

However, the problem you are describing seems to be a lack of policing on the Adwords side (and not a problem with the filter itself). The filter lets you enter a domain, or certain pages (which is utterly useless), and that domain should be blocked. If advertisers try to overcome a heavily blocked domain, they will just create new domains. It's really a lack of policing the program.

Well so long as my email is looked at they should act, as I am sure the actual adverts themselves are against policy, the multiple add's with same text different url's definitely are.
