Today looks normal. Yesterday aws laggy tho.

Either the clicks are way behind or the entire world's stopped clicking...probably the latter!

There is something very strange going on right now. If you don't see it or can't understand it you can ignore "these threads." I think it has been established that anomalies such as this seldom affect everyone and there's always a few that come in here and question the sanity of the posters. I think that's unfortunate, even though there may be the occasional poster getting it wrong.

It's just the nature of the infernal "black box," it's not the same box for everyone.

It's 5 pm Googleplex time and my earnings are still ~40% down from the past 30 day average. Hey, Google just needs the money more than we do, they have important obligations while we on the other hand don't really need the money, we're just web hobbyists.

Yesterday was a cruddy day too, but today was looking even worse, as if noone was clicking many ads. If it winds up this way, perhaps G is showing garbage ads again. I did JUST signup for and get approved for Adsense Analytics combo. Anyone else in here with problem do same?

Coincidence? Most likely, I'll keep it there until the week after christmas which is historically a good time for me, and see how it goes.

Been very, very quiet at some of my sites lately. With unchanged rankings, that is

Traffic...traffic...I have absolutely no traffic, the last two days have been slower than an average weekend and especially so from Europe!

Considering the above I'm actually surprised I've earned something and have almost acheived my monthly target.

The next two weeks my widget industry is traditionally closed in many countries therefore I may as well not bother looking at metrics until January since, I guess, only Joe Public will be having a look for my widgets.

I've seen traffic down across a number of niches.

My traffic is near normal, but I fear this will evaporate in January. AdSense revenue however has settled into a "new normal" about 40% below last week. May well be advertisers hoarding cash, hard to say.

There is something going on with Adsense reporting stats. It is really not like this all the time. Usually, the stats are updated more frequently.

Maybe we can figure out what is going on.

They lagged way behind for me yesterday with a tiny (especially in $) click dump late in the day, today they've lagged even more and now adsense is unavailable so maybe they've uncovered a problem.

Impressions are Up, only the ctr & ecpm is Down considerably ...

Ditto. Traffic is normal and there are no impressions from my alternate ad scripts. Leads me to believe there is catching up to do.

I think part of the low income is due to the filter being broken. Yes, I know there are other factors involved like recession etc. But if all and sundry are appearing, then there is no wonder why the click value is low.

I lined up this year versus last year and found some very interesting things.

CTR and eCPM is down, but traffic is up so that my average for the month is pretty even.

I created two reports in two browser windows (remember browsing before tabs?) one with December 07 and one with this December 08.

If I line up the days of the week instead of date in the month (Monday Dec 1st this year lined up with Monday December 3rd last year) I find that the results are pretty much the same year over year, including this Wednesday, Thursday and Friday compared with the similar days last year. Very down (-25 to -35%% of normal in revenue) days last year, same as this year. So ya, the past few days have been slow, but they were slow just the same way last year.
