I wonder what they are paying for bids? It would certainly be a hard go trying to bid against one of the larger tech companies in the world!
'twould be interesting to see what publishers get for ads running on their sites, but of course such granularity is not available for the average man. I wonder what the result would be of putting them on one's block list?
Not adsense, per se, but a search for 'web browser' shows chrome right there at the top (just above wiki) as a sponsored result."A browser with a clean, simple design made for users. Download now"

In search results their "bid" would be irrelevant: it's google paying google.
In adsense they (should) be paying us publishers a "bit", the thing I find strange is that they seem to have very odd keywords in there (as the site is about travel), or they are just replacing some of the bottom feeders with chrome ads (which is fine by me).
That the payout on clicks for these ads is darn low.
Sure, because they're the equivalent of placement-targeted CPM ads that are displayed when better-paying contextual ads aren't available.
Who knows--maybe they were introduced to stop complaints about low-paying "fight belly fat" ads. :-)
