I am new to the whole Adsense/Adword thing. I want to build a news portal for providing finance information and use Adsense to generate revenue on it.

My questions are how can I determine

1. how much the people paying for Adwords are paying for the words on my pages?

and

2. how can I estimate how much I will earn for each adsense click on those adwords?

You can't know how much people are paying for clicks on the ads on your pages and you don't know in advance how much you will earn for each click on the ads.

Will the content on your news portal be original content of yours?

If content is not original and does not provide value, you run the risk of losing your adSense a/c for bad business model..

Be very careful and read Google adwords Landing page guidelines carefully and follow them in letter (and more importantly) in spirit.

In a specific response to your question.. There is no way to know.

AdSense click value (in my experience), may be determined on
Site age
Perceived value in the eyes of the G algo.
Targetting by adWords advertisers
As data accumulates with G , conversion data specifically will determine value of clicks.

so..

when you pay 50 cents in adWords, you may receive many 1 cent adSense clicks, making you howl in frustration..but if you can provide value in youe site.. who knows, you may actually make money depending upon so may other factors.. that it is difficult to elaborate all in one post. Suffice it to say..patience, high value converting site, good enough CTR..may make you money..

If you can avoid the G slap on adWords side

and avoid the ban on the G adSense side ( for the bad business model)
