Google Adsense Links

Ok, I am a little upset, and I don't know if I should be. A month ago, I found out that a site in my niche has taken banner ads (not google adsense banner ads), and is linking them to the google adsense link.

So basically, adsense appears on his site... he right clicks on the ad, copies the destination URL (with all of the google encoding), and then links a different image using that target URL.

I complained to google, and they never made him stop. So either they don't care, or this is allowed.

If this is allowed, I'm going to start doing this.

Any insight?

Thanks

Not allowed. Not even sure that would work...

Don't speculate as to why that other site hasn't been stopped. Just don't do it.

I just found another site, not in my niche, that is doing this same thing.

This is a site for a radio show, so I don't think it's illegal.

Mods, can I post the link to this radio station website to show the example?

Look at some of the ads, just right click on them to see they are google adsense links, but not google adsense ads.

Is there a rule against this? If not, why don't we all do this?

The radio station website may well be a premium publisher.

Tattling doesn't work with Google. I've found high-traffic sites with more illegal content then you can imagine but Google and their Adsense just look the other way.

Go ahead and do it if you want, but always remember Google can, and will, remove you anytime they want. Getting and keeping an Adsense account is a one-time deal, don't blow it.

i think that those might be ads that are run through google ad-manager. i am not sure, but admanager might also use "pagead2.googlesyndication.com/"

Ad slots run through Google Ad Manager can contain non-AdSense ads. That appears to be the case here. For more information or to sign up for Ad Manager, see [google.com...]

If you see ads or sites that violate our policies, please report them by clicking on the Ads by Google link. You can also report ads here: [adwords.google.com...] and sites here: [google.com...] These reports have nothing to do with your AdSense account and they help us maintain the safety and quality of our network.
