Hi, Since few weeks I see that Doubleclick ads appears on some sites (I'm in Europe). I disabled Image ads some time ago because of poor performance. Now I'm wondering if this is different with Doubleclick. Someone has experience with that?

I'd say enable: they are pay per view, if you get a big brand advertising, it'll boost your revenue considerably. Ad review helps you knowing who's interested.

Are you sure about being them CPM ads. I just blocked one in the competitive filter because I couldn't find it in the review center. Also I don't see my position targeted ad impressions going up. Yet this ad is all over the place. Bringing bottom line earnings down substantially (At least I like to think this doubleclick ad is the cause).

I always disable the image ads as I have a small niche topic and the image ads are wildy unrelated the topics of the pages they appear on. Its like their selection is made of completely random banner ads.

My niche is big enough however that the text ads are very much correlated to the text on the page. Although its hard to say for certain, I figure the topic matched text ads greatly out perform the apparently random image ads.

I guess if your topic is broad enough to have a good supply of "on topic" image ads, then you might be OK.

I guess not, because when the image ads where enabled, in the past, the ecpm was lower than now, without image ads.

I go with saw66. My sites (UK) have clearly been targetted by massive ad campaigns (online and television) and they paid extremely well. This isn't all the time, but on balance the image ads seem to pay off.
