There is an adsense newsgroup type of thingie in Google groups where a few people have posted that they have received the "PIP" line but haven't gotten a payment. So (if they are to be believed) it does seem to happen.

PIP in SW USA. You COULD see a PIP and not get a deposit if your bank transfer info is incorrect and G tries to send it (i.e. PIP) but your bank rejects it (incomplete transaction) due to incomplete or incorrect info.

Uh actually someone has already started a PIP thread for this month.

I was getting kind of worried because usually when these PIP threads are started, people start to post almost immediately when they get their payment in progress lines.

On the other thread 2 people posted that they got their PIP and also posted that they get their adsense payments by check which makes me wonder whether those of us who get it by EFT will have to wait until after all of those who get their adsense by check have been processed and sent out.

According to an Adsense-related blog actually the 26th is the date that the last payment in progress line was had during a month that had a similar date format / layout as this month!

Personally I was hoping that I would see my PIP line today - but so far - not! :(

Well for US publishers when they see the PIP normally the money hits their account the same day. So maybe your bank already has the payment to run in the nightly process tonight and you should see it reflected in your A/C by morning ... hopefully :)

PIP in Canada Aug 26th but the exchange rate is messed up AGAIN.
I got $1 Cdn for each dollar US, instead of the official rate which is about $1.04 Cdn.
Anybody else in Canada got the same result?
