Joomla Adsense Module

Seeing Hundreds of Impressions but no Clicks

Hi,

I have installed joomla and add the adsense module to it.

I have configured it with my publisher id and channel id.

I see hundreds of impressions but no clicks. I am almost certain that the clicks are not being counted.

Any insights are appreciated.

Wait till it's at least 2 thousand impressions or more, because:

a) some sites have very low CTR

b) it may be coincidence that no one has clicked so far

Then you can start worrying, optimizing or whatever.

Instead of using a third party module for your adsense you can easily create one by going to modules -> site modules -> new... then paste your adsense code into "custom output". It has the same effect but you are sure that your id is embedded on your website all the time. You can also put nifty divs on it.

Have you checked the source code of the website in a browser? Are you seeing your pub id? Just making sure that your data was properly saved in Joomla. I use Joomla too with AdSense module and it works just fine. Maybe you have just not had enough traffic yet and the ads are still off topic for anyone to click.
