2) AdSense reports are often subject to delays (with click statistics sometimes being delayed more than impression stats are).
If you want to focus on single-day statistics, look at yesterday's numbers, not today's.

I agree, but even one full day's data is often not solid enough to give any useful information. Adsense is just too volatile. So I'd look at 30 day moving averages (put into relationship of individual days) to spot longer-term trends.

This is the first time I've logged-on today and my numbers look very normal, in fact back to pre July 18th stable metrics.
I wonder if there's something new being rolled out again?
