Actually, the same amount of content is still on the page. It was an over all devaluing, not just the java pages. Pages that were once doing well are now generating a lower amount of revenue.

Yes, I was gonna say that, but the rest of my sentence was "that's what Google sees". To get a true representation of that, you need to do something like lynx. If you turn off javascript, you can still see images, flash, etc. All things that can contain content that bots can't see.
