I plan to offer visitors to my site, the option of making my daily image page as their homepage. Above my image, I will offer them Google's search functionality as I will add an AdSense search box above the image on this specific page in my web. In esssence, people can then use my search on their desktop. Your comments and thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks FarmBoy. Actually I was thinking if they like to use Google, I can offer them MY page, with MY daily image and MY AdSense search box . . . so when they use MY search, I earn through them using MY search box....

Why would they choose your home page over Google's, which undoubtedly will load faster and have zero ads on the search?
Not to mention the gadget benefits of iGoogle. My homepage is currently iGoogle and it would take one hell of a good page to convince me to switch.

Thanks StoutFiles. Basically my daily image consists of a single panel gag cartoon. In essence, if someone doesn't feel like getting my daily comic via an RSS feed which I offer, I give them the option of switching their home page to the page I'd offer them with the daily image on it....including the search box. And I would not include any advertising of any kind on the page. Btw: the image updates automatically at 2am eastern time, 24/7/365 off of my web host's server and the people using my page as their default can opt out at any time. If you want to see the image I refer to, send your email and I'll supply the link....
