Ok, so I have a few sections on my site, one of which I'll call "info". Normally it doesn't earn too much compared with whole site.
Well, the day before yesterday I saw a huge (like 10x) increase in EPC-- that section turned out to earn more than all others.

Then, yesterday, back to normal. Then, today, I go to check my Adsense at about 10am and my total earnings are almost at what the entire *day's* earnings should be.
Looking at my channels, again, I see the "info" channel has shot way up and is paying 10x what it normally does.

Anyone else had this happen? I can't figure out what page or ads these earnings are coming from-- but I'd love to know. The "info" section normally gets very little traffic compared to the rest of the site, but it's earning more today than all others combined.

It happens, a couple of advertisers are willing to pay a premium, or goofed up, and you get the benefit.

I'm seeing a similar thing today also, it's been happening every few days for the last couple of weeks on one of my channels.

I have some days where some channels are unbelievably high, and others when they just tank. I just came off my two biggest days of the year, and today so far is a disaster; only thing that saved the day was some t-shirt sales.

Weird, I'm seeing the same thing again today, after normal earnings yesterday. Seems like just about every other day EPC spikes huge on one channel. I doubt it's a goof up since it's happened so regularly...

Well, either way I'm happy. Earnings are waaaaaay up. :)

Sometimes one can have relatively huge payouts on just a few clicks, I've obviously no idea of the total traffic you have (take care with te ToS), but if it's relatively low, the variation you would see is by definition bigger and less evened out.
if you have a page with just 1 click, $10 CPC, and only 100 views, you'd have a eCMP of $1000 (all numbers are imaginary, any coincidence with actual revenue is purely coincidental (ToS)) But it'll typically not scale onto bigger numbers of impressions or clicks.

Yeah the strange thing is I have a lot of traffic and impressions on the site... and never experienced swings ilke this before. Ah well, I suppose it's a good thing any way.

Pretty common once or twice in a year. Last year I had the best earning ever on Sunday. I went through logs and stats package, but failed to locate any special incidence that can help me to mirror Sunday success. Bottom line enjoy the one night stand and move on ;)
