I am seeing the same thing. Our income is stable and pretty much predictible. Sometimes people who have a lower daily revenue share will see more "yo yo" type results.

We have one account that doesn't receive as much traffic and it just looks all over the place, but when compared to the higher producer it seems this same random flexibility looks more stable...not so big jump from day to day.

Just my opinion of course, you see it how you like :)

I'm sorry to hear this but I noticed I had some CBS site search rank well for commercials but I found myself competing with yahoo answers which I really found irritating since I don't think its fair when one person is competing against a entire team. I guess thats where my frustration lies. Individual effort should outweigh a combined effort at least thats what I feel.

After a long battle to achieve decent rankings (where we should be on most engines) and a significant flow of traffic, I've experienced an extremely steady eCPM value. When I say steady I mean plus or minus 5% from month to month.

i think more people are seeing decline than up. please disagree with me.

On a quarter to quarter basis, my income has been as stable as my traffic.

Income for days, weeks and even months bounce around a bit, but looking at it from a quarterly view, eCPM is incredibly stable.

Total income still bounces with the traffic levels, and for some sites, traffic levels are all over the place, and for others if you tell me the day of the week, I can tell you the traffic numbers to 3 significant digits.

The higher your traffic the more stable your income is. Once you approach close to 2 million visitors monthly, you will see stability like that of a corporation. Having diverse content is also a big factor. If all you have on your website is info about baseball then you might see huge swings from month to month but a lifestyle website with info on personal finance, gadgets, fitness, relationships, cooking, etc. you will always have large numbers of people coming.

I run a wide coverage site that does close to a couple of million unique per month. We don't usually see big shifts but twice we have had massive moves. In the last six months our Adsense income went down to a third of its 3 years average and although a slight recovery it has remained at this historical low.

So even with fairly busy sites with wide content you can experience massive shifts in revenue from Adsense, with no succour given. Indeed some changes almost overnight.

I find Adsense the least stable of all our advertising streams. With CPM targeted banner sales much more reliable and lucrative.
