The only site/domain allowed in the allow list is www.ourdomain.com ,
however this site is not yet running any ads. Our test site
(test.ourdomain.com) IS currently running the ads, however is not in
the allowed list. According to all documentation I can find only
impressions and clicks should be counted for domains in the allowed
list and subsequent subdomains of those listed.
Does this take a while to kick in? It's been around 6 hours and
impressions/clicks still tick over. We just don't want anything to
skew reports etc.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Google says: "but impressions and clicks will not be recorded", the question is : is that mainly that advertisers will not get charged and we don't get revenue only?
Or does it also mean our statistics won't update either ? Our stats are most likely to be a lower priority to GOOG.
- Ads WILL be displayed
- Your stats will not increment
- Will not affect your smartpricing, ecpm, ctr ..
- You get NOTHING for those clicks
- You are no longer accountable for click fraud on that traffic
Most probably advertisers will get charged if the traffic & clicks are legitimate but orphaned (not claimed by you but came from cached pages for e.g.)
Yes, I am sure we have www.ourdomain.com in the allow list (rather than ourdomain.com). Thus impressions from test.ourdomain.com should not be recorded......but they are still. If (as suggested by fiberoptickarrie) www.ourdomain.com is treated the same as ourdomain.com...then that's just ridiculous.
Hobbs, yes that is exactly what the expected behaviour is, however impressions are still incrementing. Even though no ads are currently displayed on the ONLY allowed domain.
Do I have to wait for a crawl or something for it to kick in? I wouldve thought it'd be next to instant? Do I have to re-create the ad units?
Any suggestions are welcome.
Thanks
