I am thinking about implementing Youtube video units on my sites. How are your experiences with video units up to now? Do they convert? Do they generate a decent revenue? Do they provide relevant content to your visitors?

Do they provide relevant content to your visitors?
Not for me. I do every now and then use videos on my sites but have yet to find relevant videos through video units.

Implemented them on a large scale but have since close the program -- it turns out that the eCPM was like one tenth of regular ads and I think it is just that the videos were not targeted enough and no one wanted to watch them.

Just looking at the setup for them makes me ill. I can't see them doing well at all.
If that 1/10th ecpm is true, even more reason to stay away.

It makes no sense to use it if you can't even choose your own videos to display on your website.

They do not makes sense for me. Some of the reasons already mentioned.

I can not think a site suitable for this. If you add videos the people spend their time watching them and not at your site.
