I received some junk html email today. Embedded within was a URL apparently copied from an Adsense ad target URL. The title and very short content of the Email encouraged one to click on the link. I'm not sure if this URL would validate as a legitimate link and therefore click by the Adsense servers, but it does look like a nice try.

Retaliation against a competitor?

Click attack on Adsense servers?

Why else would anyone do this?

Someone who hasn't read the TOS and thinks it's a great way to make some money?

Maybe it is just using it as a redirector in order to fool spam services reporting like Spamcop.
