Well, my first adsense cheque was posted to me (well, sort of :P ) on the 27th of march, till now I thaught it's just taking its time - but I looked on my adsense account details and I have put in the WRONG post code !

I recently moved house and i got confused between my old postcode and my new postcode (by the way - do NOT update your adsense account after coming back from the pub :D )

I ended up having the first part of my new postcode and second part of my old postcode on there -

here's my question - how smart are the folks at royal mail? the rest of my address is fine, just the postcode is buggered.
I hope they can sort this for me

If the cheque has been posted to some numpty in the valleys, could I still request a reissue? the term 'request' is getting to me as It makes me think they're going to review the cheque's status and find out it was actually delivered and I'm buggered?

Thank GOD i just signed up for EFT payments :P

If not found Google should be able to just 'stop' the cheque. Costs them a few quid and the cheque is cancelled and cannot be cashed.

I would assume Google do offer to do this as they must have lots of cheques go missing.

Never had a Google check go missing, but had other US based large companies send me checks that never arrived. It takes a while before they feel confident the check is indeed not cashed and they send you a new one.

But I consider postal services are so unreliable that I signed up for EFT years ago, moreover costs on cashing checks are outrageous cause banks out here want not to do all the manual work involved with checks.

Also take your time with concluding the check didn't make it. If the postal services put it on a boat instead of on the plane it takes a long while to get to you.

Hello Bresso_87,

Publishers usually receive their cheques 2 - 4 weeks after they are issued.

While I can't tell you whether the Royal Mail will be able to get your cheque to you, given that the postcode is incorrect, I can tell you that we will be happy to reissue your payment if you do not receive it by the 25th of this month.

You can request a reissue by submitting the cheque details to us via the 'Contact Us' form on our Help Center.

If I do not receive the cheque by the 25th, could I have the money by EFT instead?

Hi,

If I do not receive your cheque and request a reissue, your payment will be re-credited to your AdSense account within about 15 days of our team stopping the payment.

The stopped payment will then be included in the next possible payment cycle, and issued in the form of payment that was selected.

If your earnings are re-credited to your account before the 15th of any given month, your earnings will be included in that month's payment cycle. If they are re-credited after the 15th, this amount will be included in the following payment cycle.

Please be aware that if you need to update your form of payment, you should do so by the 15th of the month. For example, if we are due to issue a payment to you at the end of April and you wish to receive it via EFT instead of cheque, you should select your verified bank account as your form of payment by the 15th of this month. If you do not do so, we will issue your payment in the form of payment previously selected in your account.
