I have Google ads on an avarage of 30.000 pages.

About 4,000. I've never figured up the exact number but 4,000 is pretty close. 22 websites. Every one of them hand coded over a 10 year span.

That's a lot of Ads.
It would be interesting to know roughly how much revenue such big sites generate generate.

Probably about 5,000 pages. I haven't counted.

BTW, a site with 4,000 or 5,000 or 20,000 pages isn't an especially big site. These days, a "big" site may have millions of computer-generated, keyword-driven pages.

I have AdSense on a number of different sites.

One of my top performing sites, from the perspective of AdSense earnings, usually consists of one page. Lots of people visit it every day to obtain the updated information I provide there.

My point is if you're out there working tirelessly accumulating pages thinking that's the secret to ever increasing income, that may or may not be true, depending on the situation. (Consider Matt Drudge for example)

I'm reminded of two old quotes:

Does he use Adsense like the NYT and others? Whenever I used to visit his site, I'd get those cheesy image-only ads with that blasted ubiqituous banner shaking gif from 1990 (?), "You're the 1,000,000th visitor and you won..." (or whatever) fraud.

He makes good money from the image ads but he's probably losing a ton of cash if he doesn't use text ads.

He liked to request clicks on ads, so he probably wouldn't like Adsense.

About 100,000 but who's counting...

I have about 150 pages. About 12 of them bring in the most money via Adsense.

Sometimes I feel like a Music Grinder when I send out my pages like monkeys to shake their tin cups at people and collect money. Most of them come back with only pennies a day, but a few of them evidently know how to pick pockets. :)

Been there. Sometimes when people ask me what I do I tell them I'm an internet piimp. Sometimes. More often than not I just tell them I'm unemployed. It saves me from trying to explain what I really do.

I've never seen them. Considering the variety of topics and the ever-changing page content, I would think it would be difficult to get good targeting on his site.

About 100, but making gr8 $ from them. It's the quality of the content, not the quantity... at least thats my theory, but I'm not a millionaire... yet. When I make that level perhaps I will have a hundred thousand pages.

If you lose Google love on that particular page or competitors works at dislodging it from the SERPs.. it's a precarious position. I'll take the 1000 pages, personally.

Trying to get better at clickbank right now. Have an idea for an ebook as well.

My website consists of aprox 50 pages in total. It has 3 Adsense pages containing one adblock each.
