Hello,

I am new to adsense. I understand that I will be banned if google see multiclicks on my ads from the same ip. But how can I protect myself if a competitor starts to click on my ads to get me banned?

Regards.

GoogleAdsense understands the possibility of such clicks and filters them but if you want to keep track of clicks you can use Google Analytics or other third party click trackers like AdLogger.

Even if you do have Google Analytics how would this help you stay with adsence after an attack?

You should contact Adsense and share your web server reports with them (in case you found suspicious clicks on your ads), that's what many Adsense publishers do in advance to protect their account.

Have a site that's genuinely useful to visitors--one that will pass the "sniff test" if something triggers a manual review from Google.

There is no reason to be afraid of an ATTACK when you start off. This is a defeatist attitude. If your site and traffic has a problem you will likely get banned in the first month itself, otherwise, you should be generally safe if you provide value to your visitors and can pass a manual review.

IMHO, A good site with reasonable traffic and reasonable amount of clicks will not get banned if the publisher is honest.

It is rare that a genuine publisher gets banned. It may happen sometimes, but there is an appeals process with G. However the best defense is to have a reputable site with value.

Don't ever disclose the websites with adsense. Don't ever use them in forum signatures. There are plenty of jealous losers who will click bomb your ads.

I use adsense only on content pages.

You mentioned google analytics for tracking my adsense clicks... how can I create a filter or someting like that to easly select only those ip's that clicked on adsense?

As far as I know you cannot use google analytics for tracking adsense clicks (unless your pages specifically changed to track clicks).

By "specifically changed" I mean adding special javascript code snippet which would execute GA click script each time AdSense ad is clicked. But these are tricky, would catch only some part of invalid clicks, so I would not suggest installing such code.

As previously suggested, make your site valuable for visitors. This will help to get re-instated in case of ban.
