I've been with AdSense about a year now, and in the "having ads on your website" business since the 90s. I'd never break the TOS, nor use blackhat SEO, I'm in it for the long haul. I hope my relationship with Google continues to go smoothly.

The only contact I've had with Google was over the search box. I got a thumbs up on placing the text "Search this site" above the box, but a thumbs down on changing the non-compliant tags and general fugliness of the code. (I ended up removing the search box. I'll put it back when they let us customize it more.)

Three years with the programme, half of that time as a very small player, half as a player with T&C problematic content.
I have always found adsense to be cooperative, I have reported a few issues like click attacks and accidental clicks to them, and never felt they were about to pull the rug on me.
I think they do apply a fair amount of human judgment on things and are not out to get anyone off the programme. So long as you are legit you have little to fear.

Since July 2004. They are great.
