Hi there
my entertainment based Indian web site's eCPM increased from current avg $ 0.30 to $ 0.53 yesterday. And at present it is running over $ 0.80.
The traffic, clicks and Page CTR is approximately same.
what could be the reason?
shall i inform adsense guys about this sudden spurt. (click are same - so we should not be bother about any fraud clicks)

well done, but don't get too excited (or too worried). eCMP can vary dramatically from day to day week to week - especially if your site is new or not very large.

To me, these figures for eCPM seem extremely low - but of course it will depend on your subject area and how you attract visitors.

Keep at it, remember thet "content is king" and good luck.

Are you noticing any new advertisers?

Sorry - assumed you were a newbie.

Clearly there is reason to celebrate - maybe a new advertiser has entered the market and is appearing on your site - perhaps one new, well written well paying ad on the right page could improve your eCPM.

Thank you again for ur suggestions
most of the ads are same.
i have not changed the position of ads.
may be the clicks are converting into potential customers to advertisers.
may be advertisers are paying more for ads

There are lots of possibilities. There are those who think that Google just keeps getting better at targeting the best-paying ads to top-notch content sites. So you may be reaping the fruits of your labors at long last.

Your eCPM is very low. There have been references on here to people's sites having overall eCPMs of five, ten, or fifteen dollars and probably a lot more.

Part of your site's limitaion may be that the same ads are appearing everywhere on your site. Once people have already seen certain ads, they lose interest in them. This is called 'ad blindness'.

My site has ads on many pages, and each page has a different topic so it gets different ads. (I also have each page assigned to its own URL channel, so I can monitor how each page's ads are performing.) You might try experimenting with ad targeting on some pages to see which new ads appear and how they perform.

Hi Omkara,

I think it is because of deepavali time. I have sites for indian as well as US markets. But from last week i am seeing an increase in eCPM for indian sites.
