What is CPP/CCP by the way?

There’s are so many abbreviations and marketing affiliate methods out there I don’t know what’s what, can someone please care to explain all the marketing abbreviation related used on webmaster world, so I can understand and keep up.

I know CPC stands for cost per click
CPM is cost Per thousand impression
CPA is cost per action

I only know those three I mentioned above. Are there any others I abbreviation and other marketing affiliate ones out there?

Which does adsenses units/contextual ads fall under? CPC or CPP/CCP (whatever those are, sorry I don’t know)

Thanks for your help.

Thanks for the list. Many I’ve never even heard about.

Some of them seem related and similar to each other I wonder what differentiates them.

- What’s the difference between: Cost Per Action, Cost Per Sale, Pay Per Sale, Pay Per Lead?
- What’s the difference between Cost and Pay?
- What’s the difference between Sale, Action and Lead?

- What’s the difference between Cost Per Click and Pay Per Click?

Sorry for so many questions.

- What’s the difference between: Cost Per Action, Cost Per Sale, Pay Per Sale, Pay Per Lead?

Cost per action includes any action the user performs (not just sale) for instance requesting a quote, registering for a news letter etc..

So Cost per action (CPA) is the cost associated with that action

Cost per sale is the cost for a user converting to a sale

Pay per sale model means that you only pay if a user converts to a sale

Cost per Lead is the cost for each lead that is generated (this could be a person asking for a quotation for instance)

- What’s the difference between Cost and Pay?

See above

- What’s the difference between Sale, Action and Lead?

See above

- What’s the difference between Cost Per Click and Pay Per Click?

Pay per click is an advertising model (adsense model) and cost per click is a measurement used in that model.

Thanks for explaining.

Cost per sale is the cost for a user converting to a sale

Pay per sale model means that you only pay if a user converts to a sale

Sorry, but isn't this the same thing? I don't understand.

Lastly, so is Adsense a CPC or PPC?
And all contextual ads are whatever adsense is, right?

Lastly, so is Adsense a CPC or PPC?

adsense model is PPC (pay per click).

for the advertiser, there is CPC (cost per click).

for the publisher, there is EPC (earnings per click).

And all contextual ads are whatever adsense is, right?

contextual ads are ads related to the website content based on keywords. adsense operates with contextual ads, right.

Thanks.

I understand now, so in a way PPC, CPC and EPC are the same thing, but just are described from different perspectives, Google’s, the publishers and advertisers. Correct?
