New parameter in AdSense for Search

You can now specify width of search results area

This might have been mentioned before and I missed it, but I went in to put a new search box on a site today, and noticed something new - if you specify opening the results on a page on your own site, you are now allowed to specify the width of the area of the search results. You're not restricted to 650px anymore.

'Course, I haven't tried it at a lesser width, so I don't know how it will look if you specify, say, 400px.

But it's still a welcome change. Wish we could change the length, too.

That said, search has been wildly successful across all my sites since they added the "specify your own page" option, and sometimes even outperforms content.

Thanks for the update. The height of the search result iframe is a bit ridiculous; I'm not sure what Google's thinking....

The biggest change I've seen is that the custom search does a better job of keeping people on my site. That is, they aren't clicking ads with any greater frequency, but they do tend to click links to other parts of the site. (That's a big improvement as far as I'm concerned.)

Hi,
is it possible to have the google site search box on a page, and have the search result loaded on another page of my site?

The reason I ask this is that I currently have google site search box on all my pages, but the results would be loaded obiously on a specific other page of my site.

If you implemented this new search with the iframe, please send me a private message with your site so I can check it.

Thanks for the update netmeg.

500px is the min. width for results as it wouldn't let me do 480.
All search results can be shown on another page on your site Brakkar. When creating google asks for the page you wish results to be shown.

Very nice feature.

Can we show adsense ads on the side of results(120x600)?
