I was browsing one of my sites a minute ago when Norton popped up this warning:

Norton Internet Security has blocked an intrusion attempt.

The item was an AdSense ad on my own site. Here are the details:

Intrusion: HTTP Embed Tag NPDSPlay DLL BO.
Instruder: pagead2.googlesyndication.com(216.239.57.103)
Risk Level: Medium
Protocol: TCP

The Alert Assistant says:

A computer with the IP address 216.239.57.103 sent information that is characteristic of the HTTP Embed Tag NPDSPlay DLL BO attack.

I've been running the same AdSense code for months without any problems until today. Now Norton refuses to allow the ad to display.

Anyone have any idea what's happening?

[symantec.com...]

Seems Google.com send an "An excessively long 'EMBED' source tag'"

Guess:Do you have video ads on?

I'm set for "text and image ads". Not sure how to enable video ads if that's something you do separately.

I've reported this to AdSense so they can check it out.
