Possible but doubtful, I once cashed a cheque after 5 months (don't ask why, there was a genuine reason) and they are valid for 6 months from date of issue insofar as I am aware.

You and your "brother" are really not getting why G seems not to want to do business with you, are you? If you had any earlier payments from G then be thankful if they do not try to recover that money from you too.

ToS/Ts&Cs are there for a reason, too, not just some bad laywer trying to stop an honest soul like you making a living. They are there in this case (AS, WW) to try and enforce some ethics for those who are not inclined to them by default.
