Oooops...what's SNAFU done?

I've just logged-in after an afternoon of TV motorsport and my metrics are the same as when I logged-off!

Anyone else seeing the same?

I'm with you loganz...absolutely nothing is moving.

I've just tried logging-in through google.co.uk and it wouldn't let me whereas that sometimes is more up-to-date than .com.

They let these boys play with their toys on a Saturday and by Sunday they've broken 'em:-)

Worst Sunday in months, here's hoping it's just a blip.

Hi,

Well I've just had about the best eCPM ever for AS for me (only by about, say, 10%, but there we go) which I assumed is just normal stats slippage and I don't expect it to last.

My stats haven't moved in hours either.

I attribute it to whatever updates happened yesterday. My stats always seem to slow immediately after updates.

:) Currently I'm up on same time last Sunday - which was my all time best day ever!

No evidence of any effects from the maintenance - just continuing my recent trends from growing my site.

Yay, there ya go...50% increase in one go, now all I need is another 50% to get me back to "nornal":-)

Well above normal for me, after a Saturday that was well below normal.

Average the two of them out, and the weekend will probably look. . . normal.

Sounds like another great thread conclusion!

Well above normal for me, after a Saturday that was well below normal.

That's interesting since several reported unusually poor earnings on Thursday, myself and a few others on Friday and now yourself for Saturday.

Just for the heck of it let's drag the infamous 21_blue thread out of the reference cupboard for all the newbies who may not have seen it:

[webmasterworld.com...]

Read, relax and sleep soundly:-)

Thanks for that - I agree the 21-Blue thread helps a lot.

I my short experience so far, I have noticed the following - non-random effects to go with the "normal statistical variation"

1 Most obvious effect is a very clear weekly cycle - my worst days (Fridays and Saturdays) are about 40% down on my best days (Tuesdays to Thursdays).
2 A monthly cycle - for me the 1st week of the month is not so good as the last week of the month. Hard to work out how much this affect is because of growth in my site, but I've been seeing a "step" up in week 2 of about 40%.
3 Seasonal effects - not been going long enough to see these yet, but August and Holiday Weekends are apparent.

My stats are about back to normal for Sunday, which is what I hoped for. I participated earlier in the thread because I know how awful it is to have stuck stats all alone.

21_Blue notwithstanding, hearing it from others in real time always helps. There is no watercooler in my office, just this thread.

I was about to post and ask if Sunday was the new Saturday on Adsense. Saturday is usually our weakest day, but last couple Sundays have been rough, which I was going to blame on the expanded football schedule. However, now I'm hoping it's just stuck stats today, because we're running maybe half our norm for this time.

The expanded American football schedule draws a lot of people to their TVs, but it also drives some of them away from them.

Can you imagine watching a Formula One race where after every 15 or 20 seconds of racing, they threw the red flag and had some tea and biscuits?

I can think of one F1 driver I'd like to throw red flags, tea and biscuits at...

Juan-Pablo isn't THAT irritating now is he? ^^

Sorry, I couldn't resist...

Anyway, I think specific day topics should be compressed into one. These topics always come to the same conclusion, so why keep creating them?
