This is my first post so please take it easy one me :)
I've been reading the forum for some time and got many hints and I'd like to thank you all for that. But I have just registered...

My first month ever with adsense just finished last night, It was somehow stressing for me, I felt the need to check on my earnings every few hours and stuff will be less stressing next month you think?

Moreover, can I "rely" on this month statistics to take a general idea about my earnings?

I did from my site (only one and had Adsense from Day 1, the site itself is only 1 month old and not yet indexed in google) an average $5 a day

what do you think

Less stressing? No....Although you can become quite obsessed with looking at your Adsense figures, it does over time diminish. However, as the Google world is continuously changing etc it is necessary to keep a close eye on things, as overnight everything can (and does) change. I would say one month of data is a very loose benchmark, as you have not yet been indexed, therefore traffic is - and hopefully will - organically increase over time. Whether $5 is a reasonable earning - who is to say. We all have different sites and different earning expectations from them. Depends how big your site is, the quality of the pages and the niche area. Good Luck with your new site - and keep us posted as to how you get on. :)

WOW. One month old site making $5/day.

Some of my 2 yr old sites hasn't reach $25/month. What's your secret in getting traffic?

Anyway, More stressing as I find myself checking stats when I get a chance.

I agree content is king.

Half of my sites get 1000s of uniques per day while the other half gets a few visitors a day. What I'm trying to say is that all these sites take a couple of years to get good traffic. I have not had a site that makes me $5/day within a month unless you are really, really good or really lucky. I still have some 1 to 2 year old sites that, although gets more and more traffic each month, has not reach the level of $5/day.

Whatever you did, that's great to hear and I wish more success.

BTW, with adsense earnings will fluctuate each month and each day. It's a roller coaster ride and difficult to predict so enjoy it.

Your stress level will continue to go up each month, especially when you check your stats and find them down (because overall stats are behind that day) or you read all the "I got kicked out of AdSense!" posts. Eventually, you should reach the point (although many here haven't :) ) where you just learn to relax and accept that AdSense is not a stable income source for most people (most poeple experience hourly and daily fluctuations of revenue). When you understand that, you will achieve inner peace and enlightenment will be right behind.

So the best thing to do is diversify. It's difficult to do, BUT try to increase exposure for other alternatives to adsense.

Can you rely: no. Earnings can and sometimmes do move all over, up, down, sideways, you name it.

Stress level: up/down/maybe

Checking stats: If you only did that every few hours you weren't stressed very much. :)

1) content
2) niche

Got it in two words!

September has been good to me after a flat summer - but you need to be in a while to pick up your own pattern - some do nothing until Christmas, others are even the whole year.

I tend to go from the flat summer period to the fall uncertainty, followed by the holiday intercession. Then comes the new year depression, followed by the false spring, unseasonal Easter ... then we're back to the flat summer.

Dear kempozone:

well I think I got lucky, I found niche of interest that is not very crowded I just wish it will stay like that I'm afraid to drop down but I will learn as time passes. Although I am not listed yet on google I am already listed on other search engines like yahoo msn and others.

Dear All:

thanks you for you kind comments

One month, and not yet indexed, that's odd. Do you have enough BLs, is Googlebot crawling you?

Why are you stressing at all?
Did you quit a good job to do AdSense?
I would think you would be delighted every day with your earnings.
AdSense does seem to bring out the anxiety in people.

submitting your site to relevant directories and dmoz would be a beginning.
