I almost expect. After 3 super days, it's the exact reverse today - low impressions, clicks and earnings...

(sigh) I knew I shouldn't have transmitted naughty karma here... what goes around comes around =(

Exactly my sentiments, minus the karma part.

My results for today (Friday) are almost exactly the same as they were on Friday the first of this month, and 80% of Friday the 8th.

Aren't Friday's kind of slow in general if your site traffic's coming from people at work? People are getting paid, cashing checks, paying bills...

Sadly, I've been experiencing this for three days straight. I'm about to throw myself a pity party.

I count on Fridays as being the worst day of the week, for the same reason that Fridays are the worst days for driving in traffic.

In case it helps, I went to a pity party once, and they wouldn't let me in because I looked too depressing.

Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays are always the worst days for my Adsense earnings. The number of visitors is less and on weekends the click through percentage is lower also.

Earning has been going downhill since mid August. The lowest in 3 years.

Same here. Traffic is very identical to past three days and so as the clicks but earnings was big deep.

Perfectly "normal" for me, a typically predictable 85% Friday for impressions and earnings.

Fridays are not good AdSense days for me,
who do I speak to to set the calendar to jump straight from Thursday to Saturday?

My earnings are down the drain since september 1st.
So what do I do? Starting new projects!

Can I have the calendar that only has Sundays to Thursdays.

Can I sell my Friday's and Saturdays on e-bay?

I understand Google has bought the rights to the calendar. Next toolbar upgrade will include this option...

LOL... no wonder I love this forum. Makes up for a totally lousy Adsense day... this was my lowest this year... (double sigh).

Normalish Friday for me although 30% up on last Fri which was particularly bad. I find Fridays and Saturdays the worst days re revenue, but strangely I have the highest CTR at the weekends - approx 10% up on weekdays. I guess it depends on your sector in the main.

Note the grumblings on the adwords forum.

It seems that G may be spreading the quality landing page score to the content system. If this is the case then advertisers may be less likely to increase their bids for content to keep up (me for one).

If the QS does work out, then I would expect to see a short-term impact, in addition a long-term benefit.

Google can you make a commitment?

What are you talking about?

I have sites with 80.000 unique visitors every single day. PR7. After 3 years with adsense my earning is down by 70%. Same number of visitors, same number of page impresions, same number of clicks. Sites are not MFA or whatever you called it.

Something is wrong with this update. I will wait one month until I make decision. If this continue... Bye, bye AdSense.

What are you talking about?

I take it you were not making hay in the past 3 years.

70% drop was sudden or gradual?
all sites dropped together or few did?
different topic sites or all same topic?

With 80k daily visitors, you should be able to nicely monetize your sites with or without AdSense.

Drop was suden.
All sites droped together.
Same topic.

Sure my earning is great without AdSense but we are talking here about AdSense.

something definitely happened to my sites yesterday, 15. september:

down 25% earnings from month average
down 40% earnings from recent fridays

down 30% ctr from month average
down 30% ctr from recent fridays

today about the same numbers as yesterday.

important note: normally, fridays, saturdays and days before a holiday are my best performing days by far (leisure related).

never seen such a sharp decline! one of my first thoughts (have also read adwords forum) is it has indeed to do with some heavy adjustments in the content network that hit my site. but what exactly? no clue. can only hope that there might be a compensation any time.

Sorry to hear about your troubles, lads. This was definitely the BEST week I have had since July! Perhaps the Search Engine Gods sent me your traffic this week?

Eh, down one week and up the next, right? And vice versa.

Is this an update that hits the ones who are both advertiser and publisher? (like myself)

Haven't had a change in stats for about 3 hours. Come on Google, it's time for a click dump.

Ann, I just experienced a little clickdump here.
I am not jumping myself yet, but it's a start...
