Thanks to everyone on this forum for sharing their tips and answering questions.
Content is king, don't be afraid to experiment, use the free knowledge on this forum, and don't violate the TOS. I think that about sums it up :)
$100 in one day from one website, great!
Could you please share how many pages of content
are on your site.
I guess I've spread myself out too thin,
I've made 12 sites since starting in Aug 2004.
1 site has 250+ pages
3 sites have 150+ pages
4 sites have 80 pages
4 sites have 20 pages
avg $40 to $50 a day total.

About 500 pages not counting forum pages... but there are no ads on the forums...
I work on just 1 site since my time is limited (I am a full-time student and work besides) and that's my one passion and something I'm knowledgeable in.
I think that it's easier to build one site up larger than try to start several sites. How can you possibly manage more than a few sites well? By well, I mean be active in the industry/hobby of your topic, up to date on the news, and be involved with other people in the industry...
But everyone is different, every site is different. If you can make 10+ sites that make a good income, great. If your goal is to make money do what works for you. Although I would say I have other goals-- I want my site to be more than just a tool to sell ads. I want it to be a helpful resource and provide something of value to my visitors.
Don't spread yourself too thin, but diversifying by having at least 2 main sites is a good thing. I've started at least 10 or more then picked the 2 best performing to concentrate on.
Keep up the great work!
That is great spacey.... I can't wait for my first $200/day :)
How long did it take you to get those nice numbers?
Are all your sites on similar topics, or spread out?
I guess the difficulty is finding another topic that you know enough about to create a website on.
Or, another options is, I suppose, to purchase a site that's not being utilized to make income.... like the thread I started on buying a site that's run no ads... and turning it into an income producer.
It took a little under 9 months to go from $100.00 a day to $300.00 day. Now everything has seemed to cap. But, I think it's just a matter of time before I break through the next barrier. It looks like I'll have to wait until after Christmas before I'm getting the 4 and $500 days. Maybe if I was trying harder, but it's easy to get lazy when you don't need the money any more.
My site topics are spread out but the biggest earners are under the same general topic, but it's quite a broad topic. It's the topic I am most interested in knowing more about. As I've mentioned here before, I learn it, then I write about it. I've never bought an existing website.
