I haven't had the biggest adsense revenue. But every day adsense buy me 1 bottle of Coca Cola while I'm at my job. Tomorrow I can buy 2 bottles!

I've often read about people here on WW that says they have doubled their revenue over night by making some small adjustments to their pages.

Until yesterday I thought that I'd already done all the tweaking I could possible do thinking about my adsense placements / colors / formats and so on.

Well.. I was wrong :)

I inserted a 5 ad linkunit in the middle of my left side menu, and removed the link unit I had at the top of my pages. And today I see a 100% increase in my earnings. I still have the same CTR and amounts of clicks in my former channels, and now I'm also making good $$ from my new ad unit :D

That's good news for me to get on a wednesday!

That's good.

Now work on getting more traffic to your site, and keep improving it when you can.

I dont get it...if your CTR is the same and # of clicks are the same, how are you making more money?

Sorry if I didn't express myself clearly enough...

I'm making more money now, because I'm still having the same CTR and clicks from the channels I've used for a year. PLUS now, I also get clicks from the new channel (new ad linkunit) which I implemented to my site the day before yesterday.

Another way of saying it:
Earlier I used to have 3 channels, now I have 4...

My native language still isn't English, so I'm very sorry If it's hard to understand my meanings once in a while.

Make sure you save one bottle for rainy days, make it a habbit early on, and when you end up with a 6 pack start re-ivesting back into your site or in new sites.

Hubie, different ads pay different amounts. You can also have a lower number of clicks and lower CTR one day than the previous day and make more money with the lower clicks/CTR.

Can you explain which ads pay the best, if they are all different?

Hobbs: Great advice! I'll remember.. 1 bottle put aside in my fridge today ;)

theRealairness: Thank you! I'm hoping to break the $10/day barrier soon..

greedy player: lol, even though I doubled my CTR, I didn't exactly end up at 350% - That was just a bug. Right!

Hubie: I still get most of my revenue from my 120X600 ad unit placed on the right! side of all my pages. The new link unit I just implemented seems to be on a good second place. This one also shows on all my pages, but it's blended into my menu. (I did put a headline: "Sponsored Links" right above the unit. So I'm sure people aren't just clicking because they think they are normal links.

I also want to say, that the new implemented link unit hasn't been up for more than a day. So I don't know if it's really true to say I doubled my revenue. But I'm sure my revenue will increase. I can tell that from the amount of clicks I got compared to the amount of clicks I used to have.

That's the $64,000 question. If Google disclosed that, they'd just be inviting keyword stuffing and a whole boatload of MFAs.
