I've visited YOUTUBE.COM today and noticeably the Adsense is gone. It was a month ago when envied Youtube's revenue from Adsense eventhough I don't how much but I believe millions a day.

Did Google banned Youtube? Or did Youtube fired Google's Adsense?

Adsense has been removed. Several weeks ago it was there.

Here what it says in Wikipedia, "In April 2006, YouTube started using Google AdSense."

it's still there ..just not on the home page

..click on any video link and it's right at the top of the page under the sites nav bar tabs..horizontal adsense ...blue on white ground ..4 ads

maybe another cup of coffee or a new eyeglasses prescription is needed by some ;-)

Maybe it's just you. Perhaps you should start the first "AdSense has been banned from me!" thread? :)

I think Google is paying youtube a fix amount. So, they don't need to put the Google Ads. I'm not so sure.

I thought it was gone too but I have seen it when you search for videos. They are also offering ad programs with major companies so they aren't totally dependent on Google.

If YOUTUBE CONTAINS hundreds of videos that are from Television Networks like Fox, e.g. American Idol videos, is this not a violation of ADSENSE TOS when ADSENSE is found within the page?

adsense doesn't care it makes them big money and advertisers choose to place ads on youtube .. crazy huh :)

its on violation of adsense TOS if you have a low-medium traffic website...if you're a big baller like youtube then i dont think adsense really cares.

its on violation of adsense TOS...

I think the key here is premium publisher. The rules then become a lot more flexible.

I didn't see AdSense, but I saw THIS in their HTML:

<!-- google_ad_section_start -->
<!-- begin ad tag -->

<script language="JavaScript" type="text/javascript">
...some code...
doubleclick URL
...some code...
</script>
<noscript>
...some code...
doubleclick URL
...some code...
</noscript>

<!-- End ad tag -->
<!-- google_ad_section_end -->

Maybe they are mixing it up?

I've seen YouTube running ads from several different networks besides AdSense. My guess has been that they do rotate ads to keep their income streams diversified.

One thing strikes me when looking at YouTube: the Adsense ads seem to be way off target. Even when I do a search for "widget" and get spot-on video results, the ads are as generic as they could be, e.g. "Buy funny videos at eBay", "Buy XYZ on DVD", "Free Online Games".

Can anyone explain why this is so? I am just curious here...
