I've got a very high CTR on my site and high page impressions (I believe some advertisers bid on page views as well as clicks?) any way, I've yet to make more than a €1 a day. What's my problem?

I'm getting a lot of visitors now and thought I'd be able to make some pocket change and be able to buy a loaf of bread but I haven't even made enough for that yet. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong. I wonder how much google are making out of my site!

I'd also like to point out that my stats package shows that I've had over 200 visits (only on my index page where all visitors come through) today but my page impressions on google are less than 10% of that. Why is this? I feel like I'm being seriously exploited here. Should I change ad programs? I've been on this for a year and still have to make $100 FFS. They make more than that in sweatshops!

irishbandslist,
First you need some perspective, 200 visits (per what?) is not high page impressions or a lot of visitors , not even low, it's very low unless we are talking per hour.

Second not every page impression shows an ad, depend on how good your content is an availability of advertisers.. Read this forum some more..

If you haven't made $100 in a year, you are not working on your site hard enough to attract visitors, or your topic is dead, or both, read this forum some more

>>seriously exploited .. sweatshops

GIGO = Garbage in Garbage Out
It's not a salary program, give it some quality and yee shalt be rewarded.

My first year with Adsense with my first site, I made something like UDS24.70...

Built a new site in a better paying niche and this year I should be able to pass $3K.

Considering that it's the only the first year for my new site, I'd say it's OK.. lots of potential.

Some niches just don't pay... but keep working at it. Hobbs is right... read the forums...

It was 200 visitors in 8 hours. I was making $5 in a day with 30 visitors last month and was wondering why someone with 50,000 a day was only making $50. Now my visits and page impressions has gone up but my revenue has gone way down. I work on my site for about 5 – 8 hours a day. Just getting a little frustrated as I put a lot of work in and it’s not really worth it. I think I’ll just get a paper route instead lol.

200 visitors in 8 hours in not a lot heh. Also how are you tracking your visitors? Perhaps some of those visitors are infact spiders/bots? and giving you a false illusion...
Just guessing as ive fallen fool for this before using a custom made ASP tracker.
