I'm probably sounding like myself, but today looks pretty normal for me, too. :-) (Though eCPM is a bit higher than usual.)

Which way is down?

I thought you were too busy for all this?

Don't you bake cakes in a minivan or something?

Nah, I got used to my Fridays being crud in the summer (and Saturdays and Sundays).

Just holding on till Sept when my income doubles (mostly business & education users).

Can't wait until the Bloated Sheep get back in there pens (cubicles & classrooms) and start chowing on their happy meals and surfing the web.

Wow... sheep... and bloated ones at that! Talk about specialized niche!
Hobbs was right... things are NORMALLY ABNORMAL

:-)
a bunch of comedians in the twilight zone

It's Abnormally Normal.. Big difference

For my Travel to Mars web site, media reports show that 14 1/2 out of 16 wear eye patches on their middle eye, which Google seems to compensate for brilliantly by spreading the weight of ads to the sides of my hexagonal ad unit to keep them from getting dizzy.

despite my laughs at the comments, i am here to report my worst day in 2 1/2 years

i am beginning to wonder if adsense is worth the time to try and second guess what they will do next.

page views as per normal, increasing every week, though $$ is so far down as the weeks go by, hense the confusion and ultimate possible decision on ditching them and finding another contectual server.

i am getting so many MFA ads now, the filter option is next to useless with it's options, and why would i have my site filled with ads about absolutely nothing to do with what i offer?

unless it gets better over the next month or so, then adsense, NOW, is not for me

cheers
mikey

ooo... reading that made me dizzy...
no wonder my earnings are down today.
those confounded bloated sheep haven't been clicking my green ad units....
they've been trying to chew them...
now where was that option to change the background of hexagonal ads... was that middle-click? where? my middle eye hurts...

Hi mikeybee,

Don't panic: for many topics this is probably the time of year with the lowest advertsing budgets while many people are on holiday.

Only panic if all of September/October is also dire!

Also, mix in some CPM traffic from a decent ad network such as Casale or TribalFusion, so that you will get something for those page impressions, even if your visitors are not feeling "clicky".

Rgds

Have you guys seen a problem with link units? They're drawing up blank pages in firefox.

nope, swore off link units 6 months ago

I like the monkey see ad, monkey click ad scanerio, much less ask them to click twice. I am sorry sheep, sheep, getting my animalizms convoluted.

andrew

Maybe the electric green doesn't look grazeable?

Maybe they think it has gone baaaaad.

Is there a heat map for a hex adblock?

I knew you did some food making and delivery biz, just couldn't remember what.

I thought that this was my kind of group.

Can't wait for Vegas, first beer is on me!

What is Normal?

People say, "think out of the box". I say, "what box, there is no box"!

Got my click dump so August 18 ended up 25% below abnormal.

People say, "think out of the box". I say, "what box, there is no box"!

1. the sheep ate the box or...
2. you need to color your border so you can see your ad box or...
3. it's a hexagon... not a box...

What are you doing?

School text book reviews?

andrew

My site is black on black with purple and red text, yellow headline white ad text orange url, large rectangle square in the middle of the page above the fold. They played a video yesterday and it was cool, like sitting in the theatre.

Hahaha, but no.

I don't think my site is a good indication of anything. It's a personnal site on photography and outdoor sports/travel. I'm in a small market (French Canada) so even with good SERP, I don't get much traffic and advertisers are few. I added some content lately and began translating some pages in English.

It's only coffee money so far, cheap coffee that is.

Erick

I just checked and you can run an adwords campaign by province or by distance from any address, say 50 miles from your zipcode.

Out and About in CA?
Well, I am running out of
coffee so visit my webpage!
