I'm curious to know how many of you out there no longer hold down a regular job (working for someone else, nine to five etc) , because your earnings from:
1. Adsense
or
2. Adsense + other types of advertisng on your site(s).
are sufficient for you to live on.
Thanks

Yes.
Please ignore me whilst I turn green with envy.
I have tried to expand into other areas, but with no success. Without driving huge increases in traffic to my main site (not really possible) it's reached a plateau. As to creating a new site, everything (well nearly) has been covered already. What ever I seem to think of, its already been done better.
I had this one site that I built a few years back that had plenty of traffic and a captive audience (No.. I didn't chain them to their PC's), but I didn't build the site to make money and it was really more of a hobby.
I still only have one site and the income generated pays the biils. I quit my old job three months ago and I now enjoy spending some time with my family and doing the things I want to do.
Even better, I don't spend money traveling to a place I don't want to be working on something I have no interest in. I am now on about a quarter of the salary I am on before, but I am probably ten times happier and to me that is more important.
I guess I'm still at the cardboard box in the woods stage!
